Vein varicose symptoms

The condition of varicose veins affects millions of Americans because it causes veins to expand and twist while losing their ability to move blood correctly. People need to understand typical vein varicose symptoms to determine when they should get medical help. The most noticeable sign of varicose veins appears as swollen rope-like veins which typically show up in the lower legs. The affected veins turn dark blue or purple in color and their appearance becomes more pronounced after spending time standing. The most common symptoms of vein varicose include swollen ankles and calves as well as painful throbbing and heavy feeling in the legs and itchy sensations near the affected veins. People who experience varicose veins commonly develop nighttime leg cramps and restless leg symptoms.
