Introduction of Foreign Representative Office
A Foreign Representative Office Service (FROS) is a service offered by foreign businesses, allowing them to set up a local presence in a foreign country without incurring start-up costs associated with setting up a formal office or registering a subsidiary. Generally, it involves the establishment of an office and/or the hiring of personnel in a foreign country, to receive information on behalf of the foreign company. The office and staff do not formally represent the company but serve as points of contact for the foreign firm. FROS may also provide a variety of other services, such as market research, assistance in setting up overseas distribution networks, and liaison with government bodies.
