Aluminium alloy 5086 is a high-strength, non-heat-treatable alloy with excellent corrosion resistance, especially in marine environments. Similar to 5083, it is often used in applications that require high strength and resistance to corrosive environments.

H116: Strain-hardened from a hot-worked condition, stabilized—the least amount of strain hardening with the highest flexibility.
H321: Strain-hardened from a hot-worked condition, stabilized. Similar to H116 but with improved stress corrosion resistance.
O: Fully annealed, soft condition with the lowest strength. Excellent workability for deep drawing or spinning.
