Eko Granted Category III CPT Code for AI Disease Detection PlatformEko Health, a San Francisco-based health tech startup pioneering the use of artificial intelligence (AI) for early lung and heart disease detection, has received a key designation code for its SENSORA™ platform designed for early disease detection. According to the company’s announcement, SENSORA™ received a Category III Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) code from the American Medical Association (AMA). The Category III CPT code set to be effective as of July 1, 2025, will extend advanced heart disease detection capabilities to hospitals across the United States, offering coverage and reimbursements.
